As a benefit of the Church Pension Fund, CREDO provides a holistic approach to health and wellness and serves pension plan participants, active and retired, through a wellness program referred to as the CREDO Benefit. The CREDO Benefit provides an array of conferences and post-conference resources that help eligible pension plan participants examine, evaluate, and re-energize their health and wellness.
Faith and Health Connection's mission is to teach people how to apply Biblical truths and principles, and results of medical research, to achieve whole person health. Through this, many people will grow in their faith and others will begin to experience the love of God in a very personal way. Improved whole person health will better enable people to use their God-given talents to make a difference in our world.
The Faithful Families Eating Smart and Moving More Program (Faithful Families) promotes healthy eating and physical activity in communities of faith. Resources for the program include a 9-session Faithful Families curriculum and the Eating Smart and Moving More Planning Guide for Faith Communities. The Faithful Families curriculum is co-taught by nutrition and physical activity educators and trained lay leaders from faith communities in small group sessions. Lay Leaders bring the spiritual elements into each session, through discussion questions and “Thinking it Through” prompts in each lesson.
Every Body Walk! is a campaign aimed at getting Americans up and moving. Through the help of our partners, we are working to spread the message that walking 30 minutes a day, five days a week really can improve your overall health and prevent disease. We provide news and resources on walking, health information, walking maps, how to find walking groups, a personal pledge form to start walking, as well as a place to share stories about individual experiences with walking.
