 Clergy Leaders in Health Ministry

Click Here to Send in Your Nominations Today!

NEHM would like you to nominate a deacon, priest or bishop who supports health ministry. Nominations are due by Sept. 30. We will recognize these individuals in October with a St. Luke's Day message.

There are so many ways clergy can and do support health ministry in the Episcopal Church. Speaking from the pulpit about body, mind, spirit connection is one of many ways. Clergy also connect the various ministries that already exist in a church and assist these ministries to understand how they promote health and wellness.

  • Is there a clergy person in your life who has been supportive of health ministry?
  • Is there a clergy person who is always seeking innovative ways to make your parish or diocese healthier?
  • Who is the clergy person you turn to when you need an advocate for health ministry?

Nominate them today as a Clergy Leader in Health Ministry!

I am co-facilitator of MEHAS, "Mental/Emotional Health Awareness & Support" group of St. Aidan's Episcopal Church in San Francisco. Tommy Dillon is our rector and has been very supportive in our beginning five years ago and continuing every since, meeting monthly at church. We're the only Episcopal support group in the S.F. Bay Area.
Thanks, Mary Beth Alban

Deacon Roberta, believing that good nutrition could help one of our parishioners who is diabetic and on dialysis, spent approx. 8 months researching foods, cooking for, and teaching the parishioner and others about the importance of the right foods to improve our health.

The improvement in the parishioner's condition and the strenght and vitality are noticeable to all and especially the person who is able to participate actively in parish life again.
