Whew! What a month this has been! Our conference with Jubilee Ministries and Episcopal Community Services in America was a wonderful experience. Since then, it's been one thing after another, with lots of additional travel included. I know the blog has suffered from some lack of attention, but you can be sure we've been very busy offline preparing for a terrific second half of the year.
Here's a few items of note that will be followed up with in more detail soon:
- I gave the keynote address at the Diocese of Maryland's Health Care IS a Matter of Faith event. It was a great experience, and I was so pleased to be able to take part in such a wonderful event.
- From Baltimore, I went straight up to New York for the Older Adult Ministries Task Force meeting. This was the first time I had participated in this group. I think we accomplished a tremendous amount of work and have a blueprint in place to move forward effectively.
- Sunday I'm off to San Francisco for the Health Ministries Association's Leadership Summit for Health Ministries. I'm really looking forward to this and I hope it will inspire some new ideas for our ministry for the rest of this year.
Each of these events creates new partnerships and new opportunities for collaboration, while also allowing us to expand the reach of NEHM with new audiences. I'm excited about what these meetings will mean for us in the latter half of 2010. Look for additional news from these events (very) soon!
